Biofilm Protocol

This Biofilm Protocol is not a do it yourself protocol, but I thought I would let people know the supplements that have worked so well to get rid of the biofilm--and the yeast that has been such a problem. Since starting this protocol my son's rashes and yeast sensitivity have gotten much better. I would say he was miraculously cured--but I would have to find some wood to knock on. Geri Brewster in Mount Kisco, New York told me about this protocol. I recommend finding a nutritionist or doctor who understands the biofilm protocol before implementing it because, although it works for us, it is a new protocol. The absolute best article on biofilm I have seen is called Life on the Edge: The Clinical Implications of Gastrointestinal Biofilm written by Stephen Olmstead, MD, Dennis Meiss, PhD, and Janet Ralston, BS. It was a technical summary published by Klaire Labs. They have an article on their website that you can download about Interfase.

BIOFILM PROTOCOL:

Interfase or Interfase Plus
1 or 2 calsules on an empty stomach for three days then add:
(1/2 hour later) Antimicrobial agent:
1 Olive Leaf Extract or
1 Undecylex or
1 SF722

Also on an empty stomach TWICE daily for 3 days add (2-3 hours after the supplements, with or without food:
•Prebiotic (Biotogen)
•Probiotic (Therbiotic Factor 1-1 cap)*we use Allergy Research Group GI FLORA

During regimen-can continue Omega 3 oils and amino acid supplements, but not multivitamins or minerals.
•10 days on and 4 days off
(During 4 days off: replete with multivitamin and multimineral)

Repeat this 2 week cycle, 6-9 times for approx 3-4 months on the protocol. If bowels loosen and/or symptoms increase, add modified cirtus pectin or activated charcoal.
• Begin with 3 grams, 3x daily
•Then increase to 5 grams 3x daily

Monitor all symptoms and report back regularly.

Geographic Tongue Causes and Cures

Geographic tongue is one of those conditions, like eczema, that mainstream doctors aren't much help at solving. I have heard several times that the mouth is the beginning of the digestive tract and problems in the mouth, like mouth sores, can indicate a more serious condition elsewhere in the digestive tract. In fact, The Celiac Sprue Association lists Geographic Tongue as a symptom of celiac.Although mainstream doctors don't know what causes this sometimes painful condition supposedly benign condition, there are several theories. One is that it is a hormonal issue as it has been noted to flare up on day 17 of menstruation. Another is that it is suggestive of a B vitamin or zinc deficiency. Others notice that it is triggered by food sensitivities. Citric acid seems to be one food that seems to trigger this condition. There was one post that geographic tongue was a symptom of an underlying yeast (candida albicans) overgrowth in the gut. Some people use it as an index of what else is going on.

Things to try:
-Ask your health food store for a zinc tally test to determine whether a zinc deficiency might be a factor.
-Try a B complex and see if it helps.
-Herbs200.com suggests using herbal teas made from aloe vera, slippery elm, goldenseal, licorice and peppermint and echinacea.
-Address an underlying yeast issue with diet and supplements.
-Look up celiac to see if you have other signs.

My New Sugar Free Life

After meeting with Dr. Teich about my kids and their possible candida (yeast) overgrowth, I have decided the best thing I can do for everyone is to give up sugar. It is day 2 of no sugar. I do have some agave in baked goods. According to Dr. Teich, agave doesn't feed yeast. It was hard passing up the gluten free brownies and chocolate cake at the Celiac Center event I went to yesterday, but I have noticed when I avoid cane sugar my head feels clearer and I am not so spacey. Which comes in handy when I am trying to get our gluten free family together. Today I made crackers from my matzah recipe. I substituted agave for the sugar.

Anti Fungal Regimen For Yeast Overgrowth

My daughter was prescribed this antifungal regimen from Vicky Kobliner, a nutritionist in Connecticut. I never used it for my daughter, but recently, I decided the best thing I could do for my kids was get rid of my own yeast overgrowth. Along with swearing off sugar for the near future, I started with the 5 drops of CITRICIDAL in a half cup of water today. Boy is CITRICIDAL disgusting. Interestingly, it tastes very much like Nystatin, which is a prescription anti yeast medication. I would run screaming if I were yeast and I encountered some CITRICIDAL.

• Samento CAT'S Claw 10 drops once daily for 10 days.
• After 10 days give UVA URSI 5 drops once daily for 10 days.
• Finally give CITRICIDAL 5 drops daily for 10 days.
